On June 10, 2012, Broadway Barks co-founder Bernadette Peters accepted the Isabelle Stevenson Award during the 2012 Tony Awards for her work with Broadway Barks and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This award is given to “an individual from the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations, regardless of whether such organizations relate to the theatre.”  Click on the player below to watch the presentation and acceptance speech.
